Ghana BioMedical Research Network Inc, I want to extend a warm welcome
to all new and returning members of the Ghana Biomedical Convention. I
hope you have a rewarding and successful Conference this year. As you
may be aware, the Ghana BioMedical Research Network Inc. is the North
American affiliate of the Ghana Biomedical Convention. We are here to
support the effort in Ghana. To that end, we will work to foster the
goals of our organization which is to encourage the pursuance of
biomedical research in Ghana. The Ghana BioMedical Research Network
Inc. exists to assist in many ways including by sharing ideas and
fostering collaborations among local scientists. The mission statement
of the Ghana BioMedical Research Network Inc. is to help leverage
current advancements in biology and medicine for the promotion of the
health and economic development of Ghana, to foster interaction and
collaboration among biomedical scientists and practitioners both within
Ghana and abroad, and to provide a forum for presentation of scientific
results. Let us all strive to provide
important input into the effort to address the challenges facing us and
effectively design strategies to make scientific research an integral
part of the Ghanaian educational and developmental experience. We wish
